Errors

An error answers with its status and a body naming it: error.code, one of these, and error.message, what was wrong.

• 400 invalid_query

  q or lemma is missing, empty, or too long.

• 400 invalid_parameter

  A parameter's value is not one it takes, or the parameter is sent empty or more than once.

• 400 invalid_body

  The batch body is not {"q": [...]} with 1 to 200 non-empty words.

• 401 missing_key

  No X-API-Key header.

• 401 invalid_key

  The key is not one Lexema issued.

• 401 revoked_key

  The key has been revoked.

• 401 expired_key

  The key is past the expiry it was made with.

• 403 endpoint_not_allowed

  The key is limited to other endpoints.

• 404 unknown_lemma

  /inflect: lemma heads no record.

• 404 not_found

  No endpoint at this path.

• 405 method_not_allowed

  The endpoint takes another method, named in the Allow header.

• 429 rate_limited

  The key has used its calls for this minute.

• 503 unavailable

  The request could not be answered. Try again later.

A word /lookup does not find is a 404 with no error: its suggestions offer close spellings.
